Name of the territory of the Jesuit Missions since the seventeenth century and now part of Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil.Misiones Orientales calls were located to the east of High Uruguay and northern Cuareim and seven towns clustered missionaries.En 1801 fueron invadidas por los portugueses, y en 1828 Rivera se apodero de ellas, accion que junto con la batalla de Ituzaingo llevaria al Emperador del Brasil a firmar la paz con las Provincias Unidas. / In 1801 they were invaded by the Portuguese, and in 1828 Rivera took possession of them, action which along with the Battle of Ituzaingo lead toEmperor of Brazil to make peace with the United Provinces.
