Mother’s Day in Columbia
We celebrated Mother’s Day in Columbia this year. Last year we were traveling for Mother’s Day, too.
This Mother’s Day we were busy packing Mike up. His graduation was the previous day and we still had to pack his suitcases, mail some boxes and check him out of his dorm room.
Sparing no expense, we took Cathie to breakfast at Starbucks. The kids shared some nice kids and presents. We then headed over to Mike’s dorm. It was like a ghost town; everyone has checked out. We got Mike out right at noon, but the our Ford Explorer was packed full. We had to fold down the split seats to make room for all of Mike’s stuff.
We then met Coleman and Nasse at the Gourmet Shop in Five Points. We had a really nice lunch; I am surprised we’d never been there before. Cathie had a nice Mother’s Day lunch!
We said good bye to Mike friends then headed over to Mike’s favorite music store, Papa Jazz. We bought a whole bunch of CDs.
From there, we headed back to the airport and caught our flight to home. After we got our luggage, Cathie headed to flight to Germany. Happy Mother’s Day!
